Jennifer Hudson Gets Star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame

She has had a meteoric rise to fame from appearing on American Idol through to winning an Oscar for Dreamgirls, so who can blame her for wanting to celebrate receiving her very own pavement plaque.

The singer was given the honour last week, but when the official ceremony was over she decided to hang around with her friends and relatives to look at the star and to sing gospel songs. But unfortunately the police didn't see things the same way.

Her mentor Clive was on hand to show some support and gave a speech about Jennifer's star rise.

Jennifer explained, "I ended up back at the star (afterwards)... I had to go make sure it was still there...! Like, this is really real. I took my whole family and we ended up having church (sic) on the star, singing. We stayed out there until like, two in the morning until the police removed us! We prayed and we sang... Well they (police) didn't kick us out, but they was (sic) about to by the third time they came around!"

Happy Birthday Tina Turner, Rock On Girl! (November 26, 1939)

 Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock on Nov. 26, 1939 in Tennessee. She is the daughter of a factory worker and deacon.  She paved the way for many of our fave artists to date. Besides her powerful vocals, Turner is also known for her styling wigs, sexy and toned legs, and show-stooping stage outfits that include miniskirts, bedazzled short dresses and various leather wears. Rolling Stone has called her one of the greatest singers of all time.

The leggy singer, who has won eight Grammy Awards, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Turner's music career began in the early 1960's and her career spanned more than half century. Turner's career started with her husband, Ike, and has produced many hits such as River Deep, Mountain High.

What a touching moment seeing Riri's mother Monica Braithwaite so emotional presenting the Icon Award to her daughter. She said
