UGANDA YOUTH BUSINESS FORUM

Youth leaders, motivational speakers and small business owners unite for the Ugandan Youth Business Forum in London held Saturday 19th July at Nile Bar and Restaurant.
We are on a mission to engage the youths in what's going on in our communities but most importantly inspire a new generation of leaders.
 
Keynote Speakers

Jo Nganda (Ladyboss)
: A Ugandan born entrepreneur, philanthropist, blogger, fashion writer and mentor. Popularly known as Ladyboss she is the CEO of Jozyz Boutique a physical and online clothing store she established 8 years ago. Jo is the founder of Ladyboss Productions which has seen production of the Annual Kitenge Festival and Fashion show and was recently involved with African Nations Cup UK where she was on the Committee for her national team the Ugandan Cranes UK. Currently Jo has helped set up Vybez and Footie an initiative that aims to bridge the gap between Djs, Musicians, Promoters and the community. Jo’s the International Ambassador for the charity Life and Hope Uganda.

Caroline Namugabi: Forensic Psychologist and Uganda Youth Forum Leader. 
Caroline has a passion for the community and empowering the youth, she is a mentor and a Psychological Consultant who has worked with many organization in relation to youth, identity, and of issues of humanity.

Deji Yusuf: A motivational speaker, award winning author and success coach. He is passionate about unlocking potential. He has written several inspirational books such as Change Is Possible, Think To Win and many more.

Miss Uganda UK 2014: Promoting beauty, decent and culture. Empowering the youth to own their own beauty and fashion.

The Institute For Justice In Africa: Empowering people in the community.

Pearl chat T.V:  A Ugandan community online T.V that aims to provide awareness in the community and exposure of real life issues in the community, and many more.

IN SAD NEWS! SINGER JULIANA KANYOMOZI'S ONLY CHILD DEAD

News on Sunday morning that musician Juliana's only child had passed away sent shock waves all over social media. The boy called Keron was only 11 years and it is believed he suffered an asthma attack.  The singer confirmed the news on her Instagram.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Juliana and her family at this difficult time.

UGANDAN YOUNGSTER KEITH SSEWAMALA HONOURED WITH YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AT THE HOUSE OF COMMONS

Yesterday, Ugandan youngster Keith Mathews Ssewamala of Keith Heart Foundation was honoured at the House of Commons with a Youth Achievement Award. His Foundation provides medical assistance to young heart patients from Uganda who normally would not afford it.

Launched in 2001, Ambassadors for Peace is the largest and most diverse network of peace leaders promoting reconciliation, overcoming barriers, and building peace.

Another proud honouree was BEFFTA Awards Founder, peace crusader and media mogul Pauline Long who was appointed a Universal Peace Federation Ambassador and was presented the award by Rt. Hon Sir Richard Ottaway.

Congratulations to Keith and Pauline. You deserve it!

DJ ALVIN SELECTA WINS THE DJ HEAD2HEAD BATTLE AT KAMPALA NIGHT

Kampala night was taken over by Uganda's finest Djs who  battling Head2Head at North London's Club Laface on 29 June.

Deejay Shotz, Alvin Selecta, DjHerman, Djkigz Romeo Don, DjMac Pro, Vjoj Zac, Dj Giddie, Askia Gse all participated in the face off but one man Deejay Alvin Selecta thrilled the crowds and received the most exhilarating cheers and screams from the audience destroying the competition. Alvin won the battle with DeeJay Shots coming second.

Look out for the next Kampala night on 27 July where the Deejays will face off with Musicians and Promoters in a football match at Westham Memorial Grounds, E15 3BD. 

LIFE AND HOPE UGANDA CLOTHES DRIVE CONCLUDES

The clothes drive project was held throughout June and saw members of the public in Kampala donate clothes and household items which will benefit the charity Life and Hope Uganda's relief projects to help those affected by natural disasters.

A similar exercise will be held in London at the next Tudeyo e Kampala night on 06 July at Club 791, London Road CR7 6AW.
