NANCY KITAKA MUGGA HONOURED WITH AFRICAN WOMEN IN EUROPE HUMANITARIAN AWARD

We do love to celebrate achievements and inspiring people in our community here. Imagine our delight to hear of our friend Nancy Mugga's nomination for the African Women in Europe Humanitarian Award. The awards were held in Geneva this weekend where Nancy was also booked to do what she does best which was hosting the awards ceremony.  She rightly won the much deserved award for her work promoting HIV Awareness to young people in the community something she has been doing for quite some time now. To do something you love is one thing but to be recognised by your peers is phenomenal.

Congratulations Nancy!

SARAH AMIN FUNERAL SERVICE HELD TODAY IN LONDON

Friends and family of the late first lady Sarah Amin gathered in London this afternoon for the final farewell funeral service. It's rare to meet someone much loved for their goodness of the soul but a lot of Londoners will vouch for this lady whom they fondly referred to as 'Aunt Sarah' as warm and always welcoming.  She will be missed dearly.  It is understood she will be returned to her family for her final resting place.

R.I.P Aunt Sarah!

ADORABLE FATHERS' DAY PHOTOS

Yesterday was one way to melt even the stoniest of hearts as social media exploded into an appreciation for our fathers some of which are no longer here with us.

Check out some adorable pictures from our community figures and entertainers and we dare your heart not to melt.
