TITI'S BODY BUILDING CHALLENGE FOR A GOOD CAUSE

The founder of the Educational charity Path to Possibilities needed to boost the charity's fundraising this year so she thought of a gruelling body building challenge enlisting the help of her personal trainer Gavin Pocklington at Cadence Fitness.  See only Titi can come up with such a thing and of course we all thought she was mad but she disproved everyone.  She enlisted her trusted friend Funmi Akanmu to join her and have had a gruelling 3 months transforming their bodies through exercise and diet to raise £3000 for her the charity she founded.

The ladies have raised £2857 to date but you can help them reach their target by making a donation at www.justgiving.com/feministsinbikini/

I have changed the way I eat from just following Titi's training diet and am seeing visible results.

BRAVO LADIES!

AMAZING WORK BY CHARITY PATH TO POSSIBILTY

The founder of this UK based charity  Titilolami Bello is in Nigeria to check on the work they do to transform lives of impoverished kids by giving them an education. The charity relies on your donations and sponsorship to carry out their amazing life changing activities.

To date they have 7 children in school, have built a community bore hole and are building a library.

The transfirmation of these children's lives is evident in the pictures and seeing these smiles am filled with pride as a dedicated supporter and patron for this charity. This is the kick i needed to register and get on with fundraising for the charity's annual Race4Change and i hope you will join me.

Race For Change 2014 will be taking place on Saturday 5th July, Trent Park, north London.

Registration is now open at info@pathtopossibilities.co.uk

PATH TO POSSIBILITIES LAUNCH RACE FOR CHANGE 2014

We all have a social responsibility to our communities and as a passionate charity campaigner and Philanthropist myself, I am always pleased to meet with individuals making a difference to the lives of those less privileged.  On Saturday 08 February I was honoured to be in the presence of a group of giving people who support the charity Path to Possibilities, a UK based charity working to support the education of talented but disadvantaged children in Nigeria. Last year I ran ten kilometres (6.2 miles) to raise money for this charity and I intend to run again this year on 05 July. The event was held at the London's Montcalm Hotel and was well attended by the charity's supporters and well wishers.

We kicked off the event with an insightful talk from qualified and expert health professionals on how to keep healthy in 2014. It was a tremendous learning experience with personal trainers, dieticians and holistic practitioners giving us life changing advice and tips on how to be in best health and shape.

This was followed by a quiz and refreshments. Who knew charity campaigners were a competitive bunch? Well, this was evident in the quiz session that followed to test if we were really taking note and paying attention to the experts. We were divided into groups and each had to answer questions with a health twist in the shortest possible time. It was hard to find any losers in this exercise and safe to say We ALL deserved to win! LoL!

The most moving part of the evening was a speech by Path to Possibilities founder Titilolami Bello (also known as Titi) as she told of her life of a poverty stricken childhood in Nigeria that was set to ruin hers and her three sisters lives if it weren't for the generosity of strangers and family members who supported her single mother financially so that the family could afford an education. The sisters have all turned out  well and are doing jobs that they love in their chosen careers.

"This is why I started this charity" said Titi. "So that kids back home in Nigeria can have a chance at life. Without an education, what chance do you have?"

The speech was also thought provoking as she questioned why it is that we are less driven to support our own but too willingly sign on to  other charities when they come knocking. She told of her frustration and pride that only 15 people signed on to fundraise for "Path to Possiblities" with 25 participating in the race yet last year saw the charities donations raised tremendously to almost £4k as compared to the previous years.

There are more success stories too, for example the charity now educates 7 children compared to the one they started with who by the way is about to graduate.

They have also built a borehole for the community with hopes of building a library. Your donations and involvement is still needed to take this work further.

With that speech Titi launched the registration for Race for Change 2014 and called on everyone's support to take part and encourage their friends and family to get involved this year saying, "Our children need your support".

To sign up to this year's Race for Change due on 5 July  just email "I'm in" to info@pathtopossibilities.co.uk.
