HIGHLIGHTS FROM AN EVENING OF HOPE 2016

The 5th Annual Hope Alive Mission Charity event was held on Wednesday 30th November 2016 on a floating boat, the Battersea Barge, Nine Elms Lane, London SW8 5BP.

The event organised by Jozyz Media & Events is a key annual event that supports the work Jo Nganda (Founder) does to support abused Women & Children’s Charities in the UK and Africa with a focus on helping individuals to create a positive change for people in their communities or organisations.

Kenya in the Park founder Lydia Tett Olet hosted the event alongside award winning motivational speakers and domestic violence survivors have been lined up including Magdalene Adeneike (Music Relief), Lady Waynett Peters (Founder, The Extra ordinary Achievers) and Zina Arinze (Author, Purpose after Abuse and Divorce).

This year's event has a fantastic line up including Evita musical and theatre sensation Madalena Alberto, Mobo Unsung Lady Marga MC, Bianca Smith, Prolific and Kiyaye Life Crew.
Guests will also enjoy a Silent and Live Auction, Raffle Draw  and comedy sets from international stand up comedian Katharine Ferns.

All proceeds from the evening will go to domestic violence charities.

PROFILE ON KIYAAYE LIFE CREW: RASTA SOKE & BIGGZ HOLIDAY

"Abayaaye" aka "Kiyaaye crew" consists of two artists i.e. Biggz Holiday, Rasta Soke both of Ugandan descent and UK based. Individually they are both phenomenal talents, humanitarians and entrepreneurs.












Biggz Holiday is the gentle giant and founded Kiyaaye Life Movement and Lifestyle brand that represents an African urban culture trough Music, Clothing and Sports.


Rasta Soke aka Muhammad Musoke is an ex international footballer and n former captain of the national team Uganda Cranes. He has also opened a studio in his hometown Kawempe called Sokiddo Production that works along side Gstreetwise studios in London to promote local Ugandan talent and has already produced hits like A Million times.

























They have been recording in London with Gstreetwise studios and have recently released an Afro Beats album titled MAMA AFRICA. The album is part autobiographical and touches on real life issues from their life and surroundings with songs like 'Mama Africa' which urges Africans to wake up and support their own suffering children of Africa. 'Tugezaako' is another uplifting song that urges eveyone to do their best to make it. All the rsongs on this album have been produced by Platinum JC and Hgbeats of Gstreetwise studios. The crew have been nominated various awards, recently was BEFFTA awards 2016 for UK best male African act and have performed on various concert in the UK especially in the African community.
Both artists are keen humanitarian and founded a charitabhle organisation the KIYAAYE LIFE CHARITY that helps street children and orphans by supplying clothes, paying for education, and sports facilities alongside SOKIDDO FOUNDATION. They give 90% of proceeds from their music on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and sales from their clothing brand to these charitable organisations and have been a constant support as volunteers to the HOPE ALIVE MISSION founded by Jo Nganda (Ladyboss) through FREE annual performances for sometime now.
"Our message is a simple one be proud who you are and where you come from and also aim to send a message to the world from all suppressed voices of people from unprivileged backgrounds that every one do it if you put your head to it. Don't be afraid to show your life style and culture. Ffe tuli bayaaye! Africans with Attitudes.

PROFILE OF MAGDALENE ADENAIKE

Magdalene Adenaike confirmed guest speaker at An Evening of Hope charity fundraising event on 30th November at the Batteries Barge in London.

Magdalene Adenaike is a purpose driven individual whose desire is to see everyone living life to their fullest capacity. Her greatest passion is assisting women and youths unearth their ‘why’. Magdalene is no stranger to struggles as she became a mom in her teen years. The personal experiences she gained in that situation, and her expertise as a singer and songwriter synchronized beautifully thus birthingMusic ReliefMusic Relief runs music as therapy workshop programmes that provides a fertile environment for youths who are marginalised and from disadvantaged backgrounds within the society, building confidence and self-esteem to blossom into actualized individuals.

Magdalene facilitates mentoring programmes for women who are seeking to start their own businesses within the education, corporate and voluntary sectors and strives to continue creating platforms where others are able to share their stories and be empowered. Her online radio show, Deep Truths, reaches beyond the airwaves to the yearning hearts of listeners across the UK and (wherever else your listeners tune in from), offering inspiration and opportunities for reflection.

Magdalene’s work includesReDiscovery, an inspirational album with songs that offer a message of hopeand her book From Shame to Strength; Music Saved Me and as a co-author of the forthcoming book Pain to Purpose Anthology.

Magdalene holds a BA Hons in Music Industry Management from the University of East London and has recently completed a professional Business Enterprise course. She’s a fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, RSA and an honoured member of Bristol’s Who’s Who. Additionally, she’s the recipient of several prestigious awards such as theBe Mogul 2016 awards which recognizes the contributions of entrepreneurs of African and Caribbean origin, the Social Enterprise Award and the Haberdashers Company Enterprise Award from the University of East London.  

Magdalene believes that we can change the world one person at a time. With this in mind, she pledges to evolve in her contribution to such change.

MUSICAL, COMEDY AND THEATRE STARS CAMPAIGN AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The 5th Annual Hope Alive Mission Charity event will be held on Wednesday 30th November 2016 on a floating boat, the Battersea Barge, Nine Elms Lane, London SW8 5BP from 6 - 10PM.

The event organised by Jozyz Media is a key annual event that supports the work Jo Nganda (Founder) does to support abused Women & Children’s Charities in the UK and Africa with a focus on helping individuals to create a positive change for people in their communities or organisations. 

This year's event will ve hosted by Lydia Olet and will support domestic abuse causes and the charity has pulled together a powerful line up of performers including Evita musical and theatre sensation Madalena Alberto, X Factor star Marianna Zappi, standup comedy by Katharine Ferns, Mobo Unsung Lady Marga MC, Bianca Smith, Clair Louise, Rasta Soke, Biggs Holiday and Wool Betah Soulja. 

Guests will listen to stories from award winning motivational speakers some are  domestic violence survivors have been lined up including Mary Mambwa (JCI Greenwich), Magdalene Adenaike (Music Relief), Lady Waynett Peters (Founder, The Extraordinary Achievers) and Zina Arinze (Author, Purpose after Abuse and Divorce).

Guests will also enjoy a Silent and Live Auction of a 3 day luxury yacht cruise to Spain and Raffle Draw.
