This event promotes African business,education, Fashion and heritage returns for the 7th Anniversary. 

The event provides businesses and all affiliated companies with exceptional brand exposure and awareness amongst the African community. Naturally, brands will benefit by association. In addition, they will enjoy a direct route to our community on the day itself, as well as pre- and post-event extensive advertising, marketing and public relations activities.

This is a family event to come and network and mingle with guests and vendors in our community. This event will feature great live performances, dance, competitions, awards program, networking, product sampling, fashion stalls, drum, poetry, fashion shows and traditional craft displays.

KITENGE FESTIVAL UK SHAPING UP!

 ONE COMMUINITY, CELEBRATING AFRICA!

The Kitenge Festival UK is a non-profit community body which aims to promote African fashion, culture, business & the arts in the UK. The one day event is a unique platformwhich showcases Africa’s valuable, distinctive and unique heritage in a carnival/celebration atmosphere whilst instilling a sense of African pride. In its 5th year now, the event has grown exponentially and has become a major cultural event drawing local and international crowds. This year we are partnering with Open the Gate, a community organisation that is behind the African Market franchise and African on the Square to oversee our African market fair. Our goal is to bring together small businesses of African culture, heritage, fashion, crafts and arts.

This event will feature great live performances, live bands, dance, competitions, awards program,networking, product sampling, African cuisine/ food stalls, fashion & market stalls, drum, poetry, fashion shows and traditional craft displays, story telling.

The festival is FREE to the public. All proceeds from this year’s event go towards our charitable initiative Hope Alive Mission which supports Youth initiatives in our local community and Abused Children and Women charities in UK and Africa.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM AN EVENING OF HOPE 2016

The 5th Annual Hope Alive Mission Charity event was held on Wednesday 30th November 2016 on a floating boat, the Battersea Barge, Nine Elms Lane, London SW8 5BP.

The event organised by Jozyz Media & Events is a key annual event that supports the work Jo Nganda (Founder) does to support abused Women & Children’s Charities in the UK and Africa with a focus on helping individuals to create a positive change for people in their communities or organisations.

Kenya in the Park founder Lydia Tett Olet hosted the event alongside award winning motivational speakers and domestic violence survivors have been lined up including Magdalene Adeneike (Music Relief), Lady Waynett Peters (Founder, The Extra ordinary Achievers) and Zina Arinze (Author, Purpose after Abuse and Divorce).

This year's event has a fantastic line up including Evita musical and theatre sensation Madalena Alberto, Mobo Unsung Lady Marga MC, Bianca Smith, Prolific and Kiyaye Life Crew.
Guests will also enjoy a Silent and Live Auction, Raffle Draw  and comedy sets from international stand up comedian Katharine Ferns.

All proceeds from the evening will go to domestic violence charities.
