UGANDAN ENTERTAINMENT ASSOCIATION UK PICKS UP 24 NOMINATIONS AT BEFFTA AWARDS

The Black Entertainment Film Fashion and Television Awards (BEFFTA) have been announced and one London group of entertainers the Ugandan Entertainment Association UK (UEAUK) is celebrating receiving a whopping 24 nominations at the prestigious awards held annually in London.

The association consists of seasoned taste makers in entertainment and cultural ambassadors including Djs, Artists, Event Planners, Promoters and many more.

The UEAUK association was set up by a group of Ugandan entertainers in the UK to promote unity and improve service delivery in entertainment. Its members are very well respected in the community as visionary pioneers in setting standards and driving forward entertainment by bridging gaps and supporting each other’s endeavours.

The UEAUK nominees include; Dj Shady, Dj Nash, Dj Kasuku, Dj Macpro, Dj Giddie, Dj Billy, Dj Mac Pro, Dj Bonz, Dj Herman, Dj AK, Dj Nash, Miss Uganda UK, JF Solutions, Richmond Promos, Kitenge Festival UK, Jacqueline Matovu, Miss Pride of Africa UK, Lea Habz, Lily Kyeyune, Abigail Powers, George Will Dive, Paddy Dee, Bella Mubiru and Rasta Soke.

The 6th year BEFFTA UK grand anniversary will take place over TWO DAYS: Friday 24th and Saturday 25th October 2014 at Hippodrome, Golders Green and will be hosted by Founder Pauline Long and Dj Abrantee Boateng.

The nominees for this year's BEFFTA Awards have been announced and there's an impressive list of Ugandans that have made the cut.
We have pulled together a list of all the Ugandan nominees and the categories that have been nominated in. Show them some love by voting at www.beffta.com/voting. Remember if you don't vote them they can't bring the award home so vote in your millions if you have to but VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!

8.     DJ of the year: Dj Billy, Dj Mac Pro

9.     Best Male Fashion Designer: Alecool Clothing

10. Best Female Fashion Designer: LinmiR Millinery

11. Best Fashion Choreographer: Katelyn Namiiro

12. Best female model: Shakira Nabakooza, Angela Nakisozi

13. Best Beauty Pageant: Miss Uganda

14. Best Beauty Queen: Miss Uganda UK 2014

15. Best Former Beauty Queen: Shakira Nabakooza, Gladys Kyotungire

16. Best Beauty Pageant Director: Mrs Biggz

BEFFTA UK 2013 Awards Red Carpet

The 5th Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts Awards BEFFTA 2013 held over a two day ceremony recently in London on 25th & 26th October. The Awards honour black personalities in entertainment film, Fashion and Arts.
