BEFFTA AWARDS UK 2015 PRESS AND NOMINATION LAUNCH will take place today in Mayfair. The special invite only event is when everyone finds out who has made it on the final list as personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, TV, sports and arts are honoured.

This year the legendary band The drifters and queen of TV Oprah Winfrey will be honoured with lifetime achievement awards as will all other nominees.

This prestigious launch is a great networking platform . Do remember to bring your business cards and network with top industry figures.

CHEMICAL REACTION LEA HABZ FT. VJOJ: VIDEO RELEASE PARTY

With so much Ugandan music out there its hard to separate the good from the bad and downright fuzzy.  While you may not recognise Vj Oj just yet you better bet your top dollar he will be everywhere before 2015 ends.

He has been tapped by everyone on Ugandan music to write, produce or direct their music but it's very clear this year he's breaking out in a major way from behind the scenes and onto the international stage. Oj sings about Love in its entirety and the message is always not lost on his fans.  We are seeing more collaborations with music heavy weights such as Radio and Weasel and most recently music's darling Lea Habz who is another artist on the casp of superstardom. 

I am so proud of these two dedicated to their music and raising the flag for Uganda music on a global stage.

This is one entertainer that never sleeps making hit after hit and with an International Afro Beats BEFFTA Awards nomination under his belt, there's little doubt that his invasion of the Afrobeat charts will continue.

PAULINE LONG AWARDED EBR AWARD FOR CHAMPIONING BLACK AND ETHNIC MINORITY VISION

On Saturday 2nd November BEFFTA Awards Founder Pauline Long was awarded a special EBR AWARD FOR CHAMPIONING BLACK AND ETHNIC MINORITY VISION.  The award was handed to her by His Excellence` the High Commissioner for Sierra Leone. Pauline sparkled in an evening gown by Trendy Couture.

Pauline also picked up a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from HELP Us Help Ourselves an organisation dedicated to fighting poverty. Pauline's message for the night was the need for all to spread HUMAN LOVE. She wore a beautiful gown  by Roooi .

Our girl just keeps on winning. Congratulations Pauline!
