I love it when a fab chick makes major moves that not only shatter the glass ceiling but more importantly when said moves make history.

Rihanna made history earlier this year as the first woman of colour to be named as the face of Dior. First it was Lupita for Lancome and now Riri for Dior, the future is bright sistas. Means we too are considered by these mega beauty houses and our colours to feature on their palettes. GOOD TIMES!

Rihanna For Balmain

Singer and fashion icon, Rihanna has been unveiled as the new face of designer brand, Balmain. Due to appear in magazines from January, the star appears in Balmain’s Eighties-style Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. Known for her covetable yet daring style, Rihanna posed for Dutch fashion photographer duo, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, in New York.
“Dreams do come true...when the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete. Not compromising, fresh, modern, the icon of my generation, Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign. In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world." Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s Creative Director.

Rihanna named MAC'S Viva Glam Spokesperson

Bad girl Riri has had three sell-out collections this year for MAC so its no surprise that the cosmetics brand has named her their latest spokesperson.

"Viva Glam spokespeople are provocative, alternative and influential," say MAC Cosmetics. Rihanna joins provocative and influential stars face of the Viva Glam campaign such as Ru Paul, Mary J Blige, Elton John and Lady Gaga. MAC Cosmetics announced via Twitter simply "Welcome to #VIVAGLAM … @Rihanna! Arriving January 2014."

Viva Glam raises awareness and money for those suffering from the effects of the HIV or AIDS through the sale of their products with 100 per cent of proceeds from every Viva Glam going directly to men, women and children affected by the disease.

The hit maker stays on her grind as she takes her Diamonds World Tour to the Caribbean. Of course, in true Ri Ri style she is catching some sun and chilling by the pool and them beaches.
