The Hope Alive Mission fundraising in aid of domestic abuse charity SafeLives took place on Saturday 13 January at Mama Africa Restaurant, 25-27 Watford Way Hendon, NW4 3JH London, 2-6pm. The event is an annual charity initiative founded by the Director of Kitenge Festival UK Jo Nganda.
All attendees received certificates of appreciation for their donations and they enjoyed entertainment by Marianna Zappi (Ambassador, Women’s Trust).
All proceeds will go towards supporting the services of the charity SafeLives and the amazing work they are doing to end domestic abuse for good. Because of such amazing events and people like these SafeLives were able to help more than 60,000 victims of domestic abuse, and nearly 80,000 children last year.
Domestic abuse affects us all; it thrives on being hidden behind closed doors. We must make it everybody’s business. No one should live in fear. It is not acceptable, not inevitable, and together – we can make it stop.
