Paris Couture Week kicked off 20th Monday much to our delight. Lebanese designer Elie Saab sent our pulses racing and jaws dropping with a show stopping display including full skirts, lavishly decorated with embroidery.
The runway was awash with lace with chic creations in lilac, coral, purple and cream. Stunning pieces on display included full skirt cream silk wedding gown with delicate Chantilly lace overlays, a delicate coral-red day dress, its calf-length full skirt embellished with intricate bead-work.
We noted an impressive A list front row including Russian actress and erstwhile Bond girl, Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Clotilde Courau, a French actress and the princess of Venice and Piedmont, and Canadian actress, Marie-Josée Croze.
This unfortunate model took a tumble on the runway.....Ouch!
